It all started around Thursday afternoon when I saw a few videos featuring clips from the movie Perfect Blue. So I googled the movie in English and eventually found it. It was extremely entertaining. I watched it again the following day with a friend of mine.
After that, she sent me a link to the movie "Paprika". It's by the same people who made Perfect Blue, and I had heard of it a few times before. I didn't know what to expect because all the previews I had seen made the entire movie look just weird, with no specific plot. Needless to say, I was pleased and surprised when I watched it. The plot was very intriguing and interesting, but that might just be because I've always had a fascination with my dreams. The plot twists and subtle romantic plot also took me for a loop.
When the credits began to roll, a link popped up for another movie. My friend clicked it,as did I and it led us to a movie called "The Girl that leapt through Time". I had seen this once before at a local film festival. (My dad always tells me if there is a Japanese animation playing!) We watched it, and for the most part enjoyed it. Well, my friend was a bit upset with the romantic plot. In a few hours, we're going to watch a Studio Ghibli favorite of mine called "Howl's Moving Castle".
. . .I just noticed that this Saturday is really involved with anime. I still have to watch the new dubbed episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood at 12 tonight...
